Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” 2021 announced
The Ministry for Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine announced the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” in 2021 addressed to local governments of all levels.
The themes are:
- Community’s cohesion.
- Organisation of the health care system at the local level in the context of health care reform.
- Implementation of strategic development projects.
The Contest 2021 will be the 10th local government best practices contest in Ukraine, which has been held in Ukraine since 2012. It is organised in co-operation with the Council of Europe Programme “Enhancing decentralisation and public administration reform in Ukraine” and in partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Rayon and Oblast Councils, the Association of Ukrainian Cities, the Association of Amalgamated Communities and the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities.
To participate in the Contest, please fill in an application form (in the Ukrainian language) and send it to best.practice.ukraine@coe.int.

Note: In 2012-2013 the Contest “Best Practices of Local Self-Government” was organised in Ukraine by the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform of the Council of Europe. Starting from 2014 the Contest is organised annually by the MinRegion of Ukraine with the Council of Europe’s support.
